Our Story

How it all started...

Pastor Rafael Padro (Dito Padro)  set out to plant a church where people from the rough roads of life would feel comfortable attending. After several years of serving in leadership at two churches, God revealed a vision where people from all walks of life were serving each other in fellowship. Pastor Eric Norton soon joined the cause as he saw an opportunity to develop broken people into leaders that would lead from compassion because of what the Lord had done in their own lives. The two Pastors "Co-Lead" 12 Stones Fellowship with Jesus being the Head.  This model of leadership has exemplified unity through the common desire of serving Jesus first! 12 Stones Fellowship is motivated by gospel driven love and is equipped to teach and serve those who desire to know the true Jesus that accepts you as you are yet desires a life of purpose for you. From literally starting with 12 people in a couples family room, to tripling our growth while worshiping in a bar,  to now having a church that God provided for free, 12 Stones Fellowship has spent its 13 years serving in missions starting with  the inner city and homeless, and half  way around the world specifically in East Africa where we provide "boots on the ground" membership support in hostile areas such as South Sudan.  Our contemporary/ traditional mix  of worship and a welcoming environment helps you feel comfortable with others who already agree that we are no better or worse than you. That's right, everyone at 12 Stones Fellowship is a sinner in need of a savior including it's leadership and this is the motive that drives our congregation towards mutual acceptance and love for each person "NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE"! If you need a place to worship God that is "not churchy" give us a try. You won't be disappointed!

Expanding the vision...

12 Stones Fellowship is best identified as blue collar church. We roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty with the conviction that Jesus served us first.  Less than a year after it's planting 12 Stones  joined the Machine Gun Preacher Sam Childers and his organization Angels of East Africa, in saving orphans from Militia Groups (like the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) that kidnap children and turn them into child soldiers. In the past 12 years we have helped rescue over 2000 children and women from war and /or worse. We help support 5 orphanages , 6 Schools, a 1000 acre farm where many of our orphans have developed skillsets that now allow them every opportunity to live their lives as restored member's of society who know Jesus and share the gospel where ever they go!
This is just one continuing vision  of many  as 12 Stones Fellowship's specific vision is to  move people into a purpose driven relationship with God by what we call the Stepping Stones  of spiritual growth.
No matter where you are in your walk with God these Stepping Stones of faith can apply to your lives. The steps are to...
1) Reveal our lives to God's promise in Jesus  2) Rebuild our lives by maturing spiritually 3) Realign our priorities by making changes in our lives that match how God is developing our spiritual gifts and talents. 4) Refocus our commitment and convictions as  we need the renewing personal nourishment of God to keep us focused and humble so we do not lose heart! Where do you fit on this path?

Where we are headed...

12 Stones Fellowship is passionate about equipping people to pursue God's purpose for their lives. As we already stated, we are a blue collar church and our goal is to bring you in, mature you while you discover you gifts and talents then, send you back out to courageously live out God's promises in your life. We are not motivated by the amount of seats that are occupied during worship on Sunday.  We are more interested in what you do the other six days of the week when, serving God matters most.  This vision means your faith is best expressed outside the church walls and we want to make sure you feel equipped in handling the many aspects of ministry. Come experience a culture of Gospel Centered teaching and preaching that drives you to a maturity in Christ and a feeling that you can make a difference in allowing God to work through you... to others. We have several weekly bible studies that can help bring you closer to understanding God and His will for your life!
