Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Planting a church (along with all the prayer, planning and sacrifice that entails), is a life long commitment. But, for 12 Stones Fellowship, planting a church was only one aspect of God's vision. In less than a year after establishing the church, Pastor Dito assigned the role of lead Pastor to Eric Norton to pursue another calling in missions.  As Pastor Dito says " be careful what you pray for as God is always pursuing workers for the harvest" and while Africa was no where on Pastor Dito's radar, he knew the relationship with the Machine Gun Preacher Sam Childers was going to take him away.  That was 13 years ago and today 12 Stones Fellowship has played a role in rescuing over 2000 orphans and widows in Uganda, South Sudan and Ethiopia. The organization in Africa is called Angels of East Africa.org and it has grown into a model organization for creating self sustaining projects that are designed to establish educational and vocational training so that each orphan leaves the program with a skillset as well as,  knowledge of the bible. The result is each child has a chance to become a productive citizen that can benefit their communities where ever they go.  Angels of East Africa has received endorsements from both Governments of South Sudan and Uganda for the high rate of success in managing 5 orphanages, establishing businesses that are managed & maintained by orphans while creating agricultural programs like our 1000 acre farm that helps supplement feeding programs while also providing food and cattle to refugee camps.  12 Stones fellowship believes the role we play in Africa represents God's clear mission in serving Him and others. James 1 " Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep ones self from being polluted by the world!"
